Nomming with Whitney - The Melting Pot

I went to the Melting Pot for the first time (finally) last month. It was actually quite underwhelming because it didn't come with much food to dip with for its price and it didn't taste amazing :  (

We got the Bananas Foster - bananas with a hint of cinnamon swirled into white chocolate which is flambéed at the table side.

And the Big Night Out Feature - Chocolate Wildberry Crunch  Fondue - milk chocolate, crunch peanut butter with a puree of raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries.

Both fondues were very sweet, but somehow the white chocolate consistency was a lot thinner than the milk chocolate one. The chocolate also took a long time to heat up and we didn't know if we were supposed to wait or not : S  and ended up eating it kind of cold.

Here's our plate of dippers: strawberries, bananas, pineapples, marshmallows, pound cake, brownies, and cheesecake. For about $13 each amongst 7 people, we shared 3 plates of dippers and 2 large fondues.

The Banana Foster getting flambéed!

I don't think The Melting Pot was very worth it because it wasn't that delicious and kind of on the pricey side for something you can probably make at home. We had a lot of leftover food and chocolate fondue too : (   It was just way too sweet and filling to eat any more of!
